Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) is a ceramic material that shows a piezoelectric effect. PZT was developed by physicists at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in the 1950s.

The engineers at CED have been carrying out extensive Research and Development in the properties and structural applications of PZT.

PZT can be used to make ultrasound transducers, ceramic capacitors, and ceramic resonators for reference timing in electronics.
